Ranthambore National Park – Where history and wildlife come together

Spread over 1334 square kilometers, Ranthambore National Park is dotted with ruins and settlements that date back to the rule of the Maharajas. It houses the namesake Ranthambore Fort, which dates back to 944 AD and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Then there is Jogi Mahal, nestled in the thick jungles, which was a resting place for royalty back in the day. The quaint palace offers mesmerizing views of the forest. It also houses a famous banyan tree, which is one of the largest in the country.

Tigers, Sloth bears, Leopards, Hyenas, Blue bull antelopes, and several other wild animals freely roam the majestic jungles. According to the 2018 Census, there are 85 tigers in the Ranthambore National Park.
