Panna Tiger Reserve

Declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2020, Panna Tiger Reserve is one of the prominent national parks in India. Erstwhile hunting grounds for royalty back in the day, today, the biosphere reserve is a thriving environment for tigers, leopards, chinkaras, and several other species of wild animals.

Have a Conversation with Nature at Panna National Park

Several plateaus and gorges surround the River Ken that flows through the region. Coupled with the short grassland vegetation of the region, Panna Tiger Reserve has a rugged look to it. The grassland vegetation also makes it easier to spot tigers here. It isn’t just tigers, though, that the reserve is well-known for.

Panna National Park is also an acclaimed birdwatching hotspot. The natural reserve attracts more than 300 different species of birds every year. A bridge between the Vindhya ranges in the northern and southern parts of Madhya Pradesh, Panna Tiger Reserve is also dotted with rock paintings that are more than 2,000 years old. A safari here takes you back in time when humans lived in close communion with nature.
