Gir National Park

Gir National Park is home to the majestic Asiatic lions. It is the only place in the world where you can see them in their natural habitat. Thanks to persistent conservation efforts by the government of Gujarat, the population of lions in Gir Forest National Park is on the rise. According to the 2020 census by the Gujarat government, there are 674 lions that roam freely in the deciduous forest.

Gir National Park Has Rich Diversity in Flora and Fauna

Lions are the star attraction of Sasan Gir. But they are not the only ones that inhabit the land. The 1,300 square kilometer forest is home to more than 200 species of animals. On a Gir wildlife tour, you can spot Indian leopards, Antelopes, Blue bulls, Porcupines, Golden jackals, and a lot more. The forest is like a slice of heaven for wildlife photographers and nature lovers. Gir is also an exciting place for bird watchers. More than 300 species of birds call Gir their home.

A Gir National Park Wildlife Tour Like No Other

Bhasmang and Zankhana Mehta have been touring various wildlife sanctuaries in India since 2001. Over the years, they have built a team of naturalists and guides who work intimately with nature.

They use their experience to give you an unparalleled wildlife experience in Sasan Gir. Wildlife tours of Gir Forest National Park are planned such that there is maximum possibility of spotting Asiatic lions in their natural home. Thanks to their years working in the forest, toward wildlife protection and conservation, the guides are amply equipped to spot trails and interpret signs left behind by the big cats.
